Kayak Rentals
Self-guided trips on the Henefer to Taggart reach of the Weber River with river shuttle service are available at 10:00-12:30 and from 1:00-3:30. This is recommended for intermediate paddlers with experience on the Hen-Tag reach of the "Mighty Weeb". If you want to take the kayak to another location, then the rental day is from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. You must contact us to arrange kayak pickup and return times.
If you are renting a kayak and heading off on your own, there are plenty of options available for a great day on the water. Aside from the popular Hen-Tag stretch of the Weber River, plus access to several more miles of private river reach, there is also the Provo River, as well as several reservoirs in the area. For instance, Jordanelle State Park has the largest lake in the region. If you are feeling more adventurous, head up into the Uinta Mountains to Mirror Lake. There are a few other smaller lakes along the road there, and all provide an excellent opportunity to kayak close to nature.
It’s all yours for the day. Individual rentals are suggested for the outdoor-type individual who prefers to challenge whitewater and technical river sections on their own. These rentals are appropriate for people with intermediate kayaking skills or better.
